The Penn State Experience...
I graduated from THE best university in America! At graduation, I walked away with more than two degrees. As a first-generation college kid, I take pride in making awesome friends, traveling the U.S., gaining cultural competence and participating in such amazing programs.
Check out the highlight reel below:
Where it all started:
When I was 9 years old, I heard this song by Nas playing on the radio. The lyrics got to me, they let me know that no matter where I come from I can achieve greatness. If I have a passion and "work hard at it, I'll be what I wanna be." Well, we he was right. As a first-generation college kid that has graduated from Penn State twice and has gone to work for some of the largest corporations in the world. I want to use my platform to inspire and motivate the next generation. I need people to realize the influence we as adults have. Nas choose to rap about things of substance - how we can "read more, learn more and change the globe." The impact was/is real. So thank God, my mom, the high school teachers and this song for the motivation to start and finish my college education.
BLUEprint:
When ppl ask what was your favorite part of college the answer is and always will be being participating in BLUEprint. This organization gave me the foundation and help of an amazing peer mentor and program advisor that helped me find my PSU way not only academically but also helped me grow as an person tremendously. Being a mentor and staying active through various leadership roles allowed me to sow that seed for incoming freshman and change of campus students. BLUEprint developed my skills as a change agent, I helped BP cultivated countless mentor / mentee pairings and other meaningful relationships over the years and created programs and organizational structure that has ensure a successful matriculation through PSU for all members. My mentees and I have learned so much from each other; I can’t imagine my life without those relationships. Together, we laugh, learn, grow, give back and support one another.

The Ritner Experience Program:
Acting as a Program Assistant (PA) apart of The Pennypacker and Ritner Experience was a rewarding experience that allows me to interact with first-year students. My duties involve creating, promoting, and organizing academic programs for the special living option residents of Ritner Hall. I am in charge of managing, networking to obtain business partnerships and sponsorship from Fortune 500 companies. Lastly, I act as an academic mentor and in-house resource for the 300+ students that live in this particular dormitory.
With this experience, I found my strength and the value in building meaningful relationships people.

BLUEprint Community Project with Therrel High School
“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.” ― Benjamin Franklin
The following clip showcases BLUEprint's Community Service Project at Therrell High School in Atlanta, GA. This project took place during our Civil Rights Exploratory Trip, where we visited historical landmarks in Atlanta GA, Birmingham AL and Memphis TN. As a mentor, I am thankful for the opportunity to motivate and inspire students of the next generation.
INROADS National Day of Service
As a proud INROADS intern, I'm happy to announce that our organization completed its National Day of Service July 24th to promote awareness, volunteerism and stewardship from coast to coast. This year, INROADS partnered with Boys & Girls Clubs of America in support of First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move campaign to create a healthier generation of children through proper nutrition and regular physical activity.
These photos are of all Mid-Atlantic interns at the Richmond Boys & Girls Club. Our event was fun for all participants and we are looking forward to continuing our services in the future.
